WORD OF THE WEEK
Updated: Dec 12, 2020
Aggravate: to make something worse.
This word is often unconsciously used in the wrong context. It is commonly used as a synonym for 'irritate.'
However, that is not the correct usage.
I was aggravated by the math homework. This sentence doesn't use the word correctly.
The math homework aggravated my bad mood. This sentence, on the other hand, does use the word correctly.
It's important to pay attention to definitions, so be careful out there!
Until next week...
Stay Curious ;)
Love,
Sarah
