WORD OF THE WEEK

Allusion: an indirect reference

An indirect reference can be the citation of an author's work in another author's book. It can be that you quote someone in everyday life without necessarily wanting to reference the piece of work.

This word is commonly confused with illusion. The word illusion means a false understanding of reality.

An allusion isn't an illusion, and an illusion isn't an allusion.

Until next time...

Stay Curious ;)

Love,

Sarah
