WORD OF THE WEEK
Compelled: To be forced to do something
This week's word is another commonly misused word in the English language.
Contrary to popular opinion, compelled doesn't mean to do something willingly.
If one says "I was compelled to apologize for my actions," it does not mean that they willingly apologized. Rather, it means that they were forced to.
Be cautious! Small mistakes can have a big effect on your speech.
Until next time...
Stay Curious ;)
Love,
Sarah
